Description
A small bird with a black cap, white cheeks, and grey back is perched on a pine branch adorned with red berries. Its gaze is directed off-camera, possibly watching for predators or seeking its next meal.
Pine Chickadee by Christina Rollo. Cute little Black Capped Chickadee bird portrait. This little guy caught perched on a fresh green pine branch with red berries in winter. North american bird photographed in upstate New York, USA.
The Black capped Chickadee is a small, North American songbird. It is the state bird of both Maine and Massachusetts in the US, and the provincial bird of New Brunswick in Canada. It is notable for its capacity to lower its body temperature during cold winter nights, its good memory to relocate where it stores food, and its boldness near humans, with some training they will eat food right out of your hand.
