Art of Hummingbird Flight by Christina Rollo. Ruby Throated Hummingbird and pink zinnia flower with blue background. Nature is often unpredictable. It's one of the challenges that nature photographers face, and makes each day interesting. What grows today may be gone tomorrow, along with the light that shines upon it. After a summer with only a few hummingbirds, I've been blessed during their final week in central New York. Like summer's grand finale, the Ruby Throated hummingbirds congregate around our feeders and flowers. By Labor Day weekend they begin to migrate south, and until next year, they'll all be gone.
