Description
The Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, (Cacatua galerita), is a relatively large white cockatoo found in wooded habitats in Australia and New Guinea. They can be locally very numerous, leading to them sometimes being considered pests.
They are very noisy, and they certainly make an interesting subject to photograph.
Captured in northern Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Hello Kaye! Perfect capture! I loved looking up close around its eye; it seems as if it is staring back! In your description, you mention how often many can gather in one place; I know what you mean. Not pests exactly---but more than might be comfortable to have swooping around everywhere!!! f/v Best, Kirsten
